Q15. How will the environment and the Baricho Aquifer be protected?

The Project’s water abstraction will be guided by comprehensive hydrogeological studies and continuous monitoring to ensure sustainable use of the Baricho Aquifer and prevent over-exploitation.
Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) will be conducted in line with national and international standards, with mitigation measures strictly implemented.
Regular environmental audits and collaboration with relevant agencies (WRA, NEMA, and county governments) will ensure compliance, ecosystem protection, and long-term sustainability of the resource.
